There has never been a more relevant time to help organizations succeed in their efforts to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion. Diversity is frequently used in reference to race, ethnicity, and gender, we follow a broader definition which includes age, origin, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, education, and physical appearance. Equity provides fair treatment, opportunity, and advancement for all people, while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have hindered the advancement of some groups. An inclusive and positive climate welcomes the differences and offers respect in words and actions for all people. If given priority, a school climate will be established that respects and values individual differences.
